SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 6, 2009:

Beloved, I am your Rock, your High Tower, your place of assurance and safety. Come to Me, and I will hide you in a place of security away from the onslaught of the enemy. The devil has been relentlessly on the prowl, seeking whom he may devour, but I have gone before you and I am your rearguard. I am leading the way, but I’ve also got your back. Rest in that assurance, says the Lord.

Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

This morning one may have gone out as usual, a little before 3:30 AM, but one may not have moved one’s car. One may feel a certain amount of fear as one may walk to and from one’s car. Even once inside, one may still feel a certain amount of fear. This may be what the Lord may want one to not allow. One may have tried to be fearless and to trust God.

One may have began to praise the Lord. One may have slowed it down a bit, one may have quieted one’s voice somewhat also. One may have begun by praising the Lord with song and then one may have given thanks to the Lord for all that He may have done in one’s life. Yet, one may not have experience the tears as one may have the previous nights.

One’s mind may have wandered from time to time, especially when speaking in tongues. One may feel that one may have been in the flesh. Too much thought may have been given concerning what one may have been doing or saying.

One may have thought it weird to keep thanking God for the same things over and over again each night.  One may believe the thought, “that it may be weird” may have come from the enemy.  Lord, please let one know where this thought may have come from.   One may have thought, “In heaven, they may repeat what they may be grateful for,” or at least one may believe that may be what happens.

One may have, each night, wondered, how much longer did one have before one could stop praising. One may have gotten impatient each night towards the end of one’s time with the Lord. One may have gotten sleepy and almost dozed off as well. Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit, please forgive one for one’s carnal attempt to reach you spiritually, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, Amen.
