SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 26, 2009:

Get seriously quiet before Me, says the Lord, for you are approaching a turning point where you need direction and guidance. This will be a break-away moment, a line of demarcation that will separate the past from where you are now and where you are headed. Your past experiences will have very little relevance to what is upcoming, but do not be afraid. This is not a bad thing; it is only a course correction that will produce kingdom destiny in your life. Look forward to all that I have prepared for you.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

One may have gone into the bathroom to seek the Lord early, in hopes of not repeating yesterday’s episode. One may have turned on the fan to drown out outside noises.  One may have listened to the instructions of the Lord with a heart intent on doing what He has asked of one in today’s message. One may have praised Him with song, thanked Him for much and then one may have become quiet.

One may have been sitting on the commode with the top down. One may have tried to quiet one’s thoughts. One may have had trouble doing this the entire time. One have heard the song, “Meaningless” by Anthony Evans in one’s mind.  Other thoughts came bursting forward, one had to put the thoughts down and try to remain thoughtless during this entire time.  One may have been fidgeting as well as readjusting one’s position on the commode. One may have sat up, then one may have sat forward, while repositioning one arms and legs consistently. One may have gone through this process over and over again. One may believe that one may have dozed for just a second, from time to time. One may have been most uncomfortable and would find it hard to believe one could sleep in this condition. One may have been scratching little tickles, here and there, occasionally.  One may have kept one’s eyes closed the entire time. One may have thought how much time does one have. One may have dismissed the thought quickly. One may have decided to get through this at least by staying the whole hour.

Lord Jesus, please help! How can one clear one’s mind? Also, is this what you wanted from one? Is this what you meant by getting quiet before you? In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
