SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 28, 2009:

I heard the Lord say: You are just about to get on an even keel. Those things that have been upsetting and have produced a sense of chaos are coming into a place of peace. It will be much like the calm after a storm when you can assess the damage that has been done and make the necessary repairs. And you will be able to now experience of time of unusual stability, harmony, and balance. You will regain spiritual perspective and emotional equilibrium as you re-establish yourself on the firm foundation of Christ.

Luke 6:47-48 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.

This morning, one may have confessed one’s sins.  One may have finished up just after entering the bathroom, one’s prayer closet with the Lord.  One praised Him with song, thanked Him and prayed for the sick.  One also spoke in tongues until 4:00 AM.  At that time, one got quiet before the Lord.

One may notice that one’s thoughts may be more controlled.  One may not feel the impatience one may have initially felt when one began this endeavor.  Also, one may have had moments of a clear mind.

One may still have to put down one’s thoughts.  One may have thought about issues in one’s life, one’s writings and how to organize it all.  One kept reminding oneself, to leave it at the door, to use this time to press into the Lord, leaving all worries behind.

One may hold one’s breath just for a moment; somehow this helps one to purge one’s mind. One may also take slightly deeper breaths; this may help as well.  One may consistently turn on the bathroom fan to help drown out outside noises.  Also, the constant humming of the fan helps.
