Leave The Past Behind!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Sept. 4, 2009:

In a dream I was preparing for a new job, which seemed like a promotion. As I was cleaning out my desk and going through my files I found that most of what I had saved or valued from the past was useless nonsense, and there was nothing worth taking with me to my new position. I believe that this dream represents an elevation in the realm of the Spirit where we can be positioned to establish ourselves in God’s plan and purposes and to fulfill our destiny. But, we will have to leave the past behind complete with things that we once thought to be important to make room for things that constitute spiritual value in the kingdom.

Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

One may have awakened early this morning.  One may have cleaned the bathroom.  One may have thought about the previous day’s prophecy message and the darkness that the Lord said is covering the earth.

On Tuesday, one may have been led to a disturbing video.  One may have attempted to watch it, but was soon interrupted by one’s grandson.  One may have looked for the video the next day from the same source; the video may not have been there.

This morning before one’s time with the Lord, one may have “googled” the video and watched it along with others that may have been similar.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have gone into the bathroom to spend time with the Lord.  One may have been so disturbed by the video, one could hardly think.

One praised, confessed and thanked the Lord.  At the half hour mark, one may have attempted to quiet oneself before the Lord.  One could not sit there, one had to go.  One may have decided to pray in tongues.  One may have left, immediately and laid on the couch while speaking in tongues.

One may have dozed off several times.  One may have been very sleepy.  At 4:30 AM, one turned off the alarm and bedded down for the night.
