Nothing To Lose And Much To Gain!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Sept. 10, 2009:

The wind of My Spirit is blowing to sweep away all that has become stagnant and to stir up and enliven the spiritual atmosphere. You can choose to remain in the same routine and allow it to become nothing more than religious exercise, or you can be moved by the Wind. The choice is yours, says the Lord, but you truly have nothing to lose and much to gain if you will be moved by the Spirit of life, the Spirit of wisdom, the Spirit of counsel and might. Yield, I say, to the force of renewed life. You will not regret it.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

One may have awakened around 1:00 AM, logged onto the computer and checked out an individual’s site that may be a new follower of one on Twitter.

One may have begun to get tired and decided to lie back down.  One may have fallen asleep.

One’s alarm may have gone off at 3:00 AM.  One may have lain there for a short while.  One may have got up, cleaned one’s bathroom and prepared to meet with the Lord.

One’s daughter may have been awake.  One may have informed her that the cat had gotten out earlier and had not returned.  One may have occasionally engaged in conversation with one’s daughter while cleaning the bathroom and preparing.

One may have decided to look at the time; it may have been 3:32 AM.  One may have quickly read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been excited and hopeful at the possibilities of this prophecy.

One may have been late, starting at 3:34 AM.  One thought, how could God bless one if one may have been late, what kind of message would that send to one?  One may have felt that one was not worthy to receive this special blessing from the Lord on this particular day.

One may have begun by praying to the Lord from one’s heart.  One may have asked for forgiveness for being late.  One may have sung songs of praise.

The dog may have been in the bathroom; he did not want to leave.  The kitten may have meowed at the door to come in.  One may have let the kitten into the bathroom.  One’s daughter may have knocked on the door; one may not remember what she wanted.  One may have put the dog and kitten out.

At 4:00 AM, one may have gotten quiet before the Lord hoping to usher in His peace, healing and restoration power that He promised if one may do this.  One may have had many thoughts and may have shifted one’s physical position from time to time.

One may have been waiting for the manifestation of the presence of God.  One may have hoped for the manifestation of the Holy Spirit by wind, like on the day of Pentecost.  Nothing happened.

One may have experienced another unsuccessful attempt to do what God has asked one to do.  One may try to encourage oneself in the Lord.
