Your Prayers Are Not In Vain!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Sept. 18, 2009:

I hear your heart and know your desires. Your prayers are not in vain; they have been heard, and I tell you that I am not a God without power to perform My word. Nothing is impossible for Me, says the Lord. My will is being perfectly executed in your life and in your circumstances as you exercise faith and trust Me. You are My greatly loved and chosen vessels. Rest in the assurance that I am with you always.

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

One may have been awakened by one’s alarm.  One may have prepared the bathroom and oneself for this special time with Jesus.  When one had checked for the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin, it may not have been there.  One may have begun praising the Lord at 3:30 AM.  One confessed one’s sins and prayed in tongues the remainder of the time.

One may have fought against a strong desire to stop worshipping the Lord. One may have left the door slightly ajar, to allow the cats to come in and out freely.  One’s grandson and daughter may have awakened during one’s prayer time and interrupted one, momentarily.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin after leaving one’s prayer closet.  The message may have been very encouraging and spoke directly to one’s heart.

One may have felt the stress of this week’s events, weighing down on one.  The storm that one has been going through has left one physically and spiritually drained.  During the night, one may have occasionally stretched out one’s right arm to relieve pain that one may have been experiencing; it may have felt stiff and sore.  One may have prayed for the Lord to take all one’s burdens.

Today one may have gotten good news concerning an issue that one thought to be detrimental to one’s family.  One may not have been expecting a blessing to come to the family through this avenue.  Thank you Jesus!

Thank you Lord for fighting for us.  Thank you Lord for today’s peace and favor, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
