Upward Journey!

It’s All About Jesus!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Sept. 30, 2009:

In a dream I found myself in a cave and then in a narrow passage climbing almost straight up. It seemed that I was leading a group of people through this passage. It was a really tight squeeze, and I wondered if I would make it through the places where the rock opening was only big enough for me to climb through. I had to fight the fear of getting stuck, and had to just kept pushing on. It seemed like a long way, but I and those with me finally got to a place where the cave opened into a large room with a level floor. There were windows in the cave that overlooked a harbor far below. I asked the Lord, and He said that the cave and the upward journey represent those of us who have encountered difficult circumstances and that we must keep moving forward. We are about to reach a place of safety and security far above the storms that we’ve endured. Breakthrough is imminent!

Psalm 107:23-31 Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business on great waters, they see the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep. For He commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea. They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths; their soul melts because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

One may have awakened early this morning.  One may have logged onto one’s computer and checked out Face Book and Twitter.

One may have gone into the bathroom and began to clean it.  One may come out a few minutes before one’s start time.  One checked the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.

One returned to the bathroom.  AT 3:30 AM, one may have begun to praise the Lord while continuing to clean. One may have confessed one’s sins and then thanked the Lord.

One may have become very sleepy.  One wanted to leave, but knew better.  One got up and spoke in tongues.  One began to pray for the sick.  When one finished praying for the sick, one spoke in tongues and sang praises to the Lord again.

One would alternate frequently between standing and sitting.  Whenever one sat down, one would feel so sleepy.  One’s eyes would close and one would catch oneself dozing off.

One may have checked the time over and over again.  Oh how one wanted to go lie down to sleep.

When one finished at 4:30 AM, one may have gone and lied down immediately.  The desire to sleep was not present anymore.
