Rest In Me!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — October 9, 2009:

Be at peace and take opportunities to rest in Me. For, it is time for you to be refreshed and renewed in your body, soul and spirit. Be deliberate in your decisions to come into My presence to find restoration and healing. Don’t hesitate. Come often. Set aside time to be quiet and seek My face, says the Lord. You will not regret it. Come!

Psalm 37:5-8 Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret–it only causes harm.

One may have awakened this morning around 2:00 AM.  The alarm had not gone off.  One just lied there, not really thinking about anything.  Then a thought from last night came to one’s remembrance.  One did not conjure it up, it just popped in one’s mind.

One had discussed an ethical issue with an individual and did not have an answer.  One may have asked a key question during the conversation.  One may believe the Lord was asking and not one.  One may have told the individual that one could not see clearly.  One wanted to give advice but nothing came forth.  One left the conversation feeling very troubled in one’s spirit.

While just sitting this morning, the Lord began to deal with this issue.  He began to open one’s eyes to what He thought about the situation.  One may have gotten on the computer.  One may not remember what one typed in.  One may have been led to the perfect article concerning this issue.  One knew the Lord was speaking.

One went into the bathroom to prepare for one’s special time with the Lord.  One may have left to go check the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One returned to the bathroom and continued preparing it.

One set the alarm so that one could start exactly at 3:30 AM.  When the alarm went off, one had very little cleaning left.  One started praising while cleaning.

One was so thankful to God for the answer and revelation to this issue.  One thanked and praised Him.  Tears came to one’s eyes because the Lord shared His heart with one.  The devil tried to convince one that one was beside oneself and imagining things.  One shook the devil off and said, “Lord, I know you are speaking to me and I hear you.  I hear you!”  One may have been overjoyed.

One thought, “Now I have to give the message to the individual.”  One felt a little apprehension or even some fear.  One shook it off.  This message may have been of great importance and one knew one had to give the individual the message.

While talking to the individual last night, the Lord brought something to one’s remembrance.  At the time one did not understand its’ relevance.  This morning, the Lord brought another testimony to one’s remembrance and reminded one of an individual who may have recently contacted one, also.  One may believe that none of this was coincidental and that it was confirmation as well as help for what the Lord wanted one to do.

One confessed one’s sins, prayed for the sick and spoke briefly in tongues.  One left one’s prayer closet overjoyed and determined to give the message as the Lord had given it to one.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have gone to one’s doctor’s appointment yesterday.  X-rays may have been taken.  There may not have been any fracture on one’s left ankle.  One’s diagnosis may have been changed from a hairline fracture to a sprained ankle.  The only problem with this is that one did not sprain one’s ankle.  One may believe that it could possibly be a blood clot.

One may have a doctor’s appointment scheduled for 10/20/09.  One may not have any fear concerning one’s current condition.  One may trust the Lord implicitly.  One may know that He is in control and that everything is working out according to His perfect will.  One may be scheduled to return to work, tentatively on 10/26/09.  One may believe that one’s assignment at this job may be over and that one may not be returning.

Lord Jesus, please have your way in one’s life and may your perfect will be done, in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
