Set Your Sights Higher Than The Temporary Things Of The Earth

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 26, 2010:

Beloved, refuse to allow discontentment to encroach on your thoughts, for it most certainly has its roots in bitterness of soul and will make a place for the enemy to work against you. Contentment comes from a position of faith and trusting that I am for you and not against you; that I care for you. Take comfort in knowing that I am with you. Set your sights higher than the temporary things of the earth. Look heavenly, and renew yourself in the hope of my promises, says the Lord.

2 Peter 1:2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 25, 2010:

The enemy is trying to make you feel like your life is insignificant and that you have failed. He wants you to believe that you should be doing more or something worthy of attention or something that will make a difference. But, you cannot manufacture opportunities. Your goal should be to know Me, says the Lord, and to be available to My Spirit in fulfilling My purposes. Just be faithful!

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

One may have awakened last night to the sound of the alarm and another individual calling one’s name.  One may have thought it to be 6 AM and realized after a short time that it may have been time for one to prepare to meet with Jesus in one’s prayer closet.  One may have reset one’s alarm to awaken ten minutes later.

If You Can Receive It, I Am Doing A New Work In You

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 24, 2010:

You must not overlook the details of life’s requirements by focusing on the big picture and the goal. By the same token, you cannot lose vision and purpose by paying too much attention to the details. It is like looking at an entire landscape, seeing both near and far. You can see where you are going, but you have to walk the path step by step to get there. I bring this to you as spiritual perspective, My people, because there are those who are near-sighted and those who are far sighted. There needs to be a balance between the parts and the whole, and if you can receive it, I am doing that work in you. It is you in the Kingdom; I have given you entrance, but you must work it out in your individual circumstances. I am with you to help you do that, says the Lord.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

One may have awakened before midnight and decided to do some work.  Around 2:00 AM, one may have tried to go back to sleep.  One eventually got up after a while.  One knew that one would pay dearly for not getting enough rest before one’s prayer time with Jesus.

One may have looked at the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may have taken it to heart.  There may be something in one’s life that may take all one’s time that things such as this blog may have taken a back seat.  One may have noticed that one may be late or have trouble getting up in the morning for one special time with Jesus lately because one may be so tired from driving oneself to get some time sensitive work done.  Please forgive one Lord Jesus.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time but may have been engrossed in thought.  One finally snapped out of it and it may have been 3:33 AM.  Please forgive one Lord Jesus.

One may have praised the Lord with song, confessed one’s sins and thanked the Lord.  One may have prayed for a passage of scripture.  One may have been led to Psalms 58.  Thank you Jesus.

One may have gotten really tired while in one’s prayer closet.  One may have tried to get a little rest so that one could concentrate.

Upon leaving one’s prayer closet, one may have thought to drink a glass of orange juice to pick one up.  After drinking the juice, one may have felt rejuvenated and prayed for the outstanding prayer requests at the particular website.  Thank you Lord Jesus for answering each prayer request, in Jesus’ name one may pray, amen.  Thank you Lord for your help by strengthening one and getting one through the prayer requests.

Reach beyond your self-imposed limitations that have been established by fear. It is time for you to do what you’ve never had the courage or confidence to do. Stand squarely in the face of consternation and break through to resounding victory, says the Lord.

Come, Says The Lord, To The Places That I Have Prepared For You

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — February 22, 2010:

Have you seen My garden?  Have you been in My garden?  Have you drunk the water that comes from My garden?  Have you partaken of the fruit that grows in My garden?  For the garden was given to each one for your pleasure, for your health, for your provision and for the revelation of My word.  So, I call to you to come to My garden where all things began and where all things end.  For it is My good pleasure in this season to teach you the mysteries of the kingdom of God and to reveal to you My presence.  Come and drink fully of the waters of life.  Come and partake of the fruit of that tree that gives life.  And, let the leaves of it be for your healing and for your strength.  Come, says the Lord, to the places that I have prepared for you; come and enjoy; be renewed; be invigorated; be strengthened.   Come and be healed, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 22, 2010:

You will begin to see that things that have been held back will be released at this time. Be sensitive, and you will see that certain things that have taken a back seat, been on the back burner, or in the back ground will come forward and require your attention. For, this is the season when you can deal effectively with these issues. And, you might even say that it has been a long time coming, but in reality its time has only now fully come. And, I will give you the required wisdom, says the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.

One may have awakened to the sound of the alarm.  One may have looked at the time; it may have been 3:24 AM.  For some reason, maybe exhaustion, one may have thought that one had overslept and was late for one’s prayer time with Jesus.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have entered one’s prayer closet under the assumption that one may have been late.  When one finally checked the time, it may have 3:33 AM.  Then it dawned on one that one may have been half asleep and disoriented when one may awakened.

One may have praised the Lord with song, confessed one’s sins and thanked the Lord.  One may have prayed to the Lord for a passage of scripture.  One may have been led to Job 3.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Lord, thank you for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, amen.

Let The Blood Of Redemption And Sanctification Do It’s Complete Work In You, Says The Lord

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 19, 2010:

Your past has come up once again for review, and I’m calling you, My people, to be done with regret for the things you did do as well as the things you did not do. Apply the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ to your heart and to your wounds. This is not a time to grumble, complain, accuse, or justify yourself. Rather, use this season as one of thanksgiving for kingdom benefit and kingdom work. Let the blood of redemption and sanctification do it’s complete work in you, says the Lord.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hear Me Beloved, I’m Telling You The Truth

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 17, 2010:

I saw in a vision a natural tunnel carved through a massive, hard, and jagged rock. There was room for only one person to go through at a time. In places there was not room to stand, but to only to crawl through. The path could only be lit by natural means, such as a torch or flashlight. And, I asked the Lord what this meant, and He said: I am showing you a representation of the trial that you’ve been coming through. There hasn’t been much light for you to see clearly ahead. The path has been fraught with danger, fear, and uncertainty. Hear Me, beloved, I’m telling you the truth. You are about to come forth from this place and see the light. The darkness has caused you to look inwardly to see the dark places in your own heart, and when you emerge you will enjoy the freedom from darkness both naturally and spiritually, says the Lord. Then, you will look back and see how fruitful this journey has been and rejoice.

Psalms 90:8 You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.

One may have awakened to the sounds of one’s grandchild this morning.  One may have checked the time and it may have been 3:19 AM.  One may have gotten the child a bottle and the child settled down.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin and may have been encouraged.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time.  One may have begun to sing songs of praise to the Lord.  One may have thought to check on the child.  One may have changed the child’s diaper and brought the child with one into one’s prayer closet.  The child may have stayed awake for the entire time.  The dog and cat may have come into one’s prayer closet as well.

One may have finished praising the Lord.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for the Lord to lead one to a passage of scripture that He may desire.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 14.  Thank you Jesus.

At 4:30 AM, one may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Lord thank you for answering each request according to your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Keep Looking Up, Says The Lord

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 16, 2010:

Take courage and lean on My strength to keep moving through the difficulties that you face. You need to be patient and trust Me to lead, guide, direct and protect you at this time. Do not despair when you do not seem to have what it takes to deal with current issues. Ask, and I will give you wisdom. This too shall pass, and new focus and clarity will come forth like the first rays of sunshine of a new day. Keep looking up, says the Lord.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

One may have awakened a few hours before one’s special time with Jesus.  One may have worked on an assignment.  One’s grandchild may have awakened a little before one had to enter one’s prayer closet.

One may have taken care of the child and the child may have settled down.  One may have checked the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin before entering one’s prayer closet at 3:30 AM.  One may have been encouraged, thank you Jesus.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time.  One may have begun to praise the Lord with song.  One may have begun to confess one’s sins.  Out of nowhere one may have felt the need to check on the child.  One thought to do it later, after one’s prayer closet time.

One may have found oneself leaving one’s prayer closet and entering the room where the child may have been.  The child may have been asleep.  One may have walked over to the child and discovered that their bottle may have been lying upside down next to the side of their neck.

One may have removed the bottle; it may have been empty.  One may have touch the child’s clothing and discovered that their sleeper, receiving blanket and boppy may have been wet.  Even the child’s hair may have been wet on the back of their head.

One may not be sure if this is even possible.  The entire back of the sleeper may have been wet from shoulder to shoulder.  There may have been a small wet spot on the sheet of the bed.  One may have thought the whole incident weird and suspect.

One may have removed the items, washed the child off and put clean dry clothes on the child.  One may have replaced all the items for the child, including the boppy with a brand new one.

The child may have continued to sleep soundly.  One may have put the wet items and the soiled boppy in the washing machine.

One may have re-entered one’ s prayer closet at 4:03 AM and thanked the Lord for leading one to check on the child.

One may have finished confessing one’s sins, thanked the Lord, prayed for the sick and prayed for the scripture for today.  One may have been led to Isaiah 28.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests a little after 4:30 AM.  Thank you Lord Jesus for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — February 15, 2010:

For you, My people, are in a season of change.  There are things that will change in your life now.  Remain hopeful for those changes will all be for the better.  There will be changes that will come that will re-direct you; changes that will necessitate My wisdom; that will stretch your abilities.  But, I say unto you this day, I will be with you in these changes.  For I am the Lord your God who watches over all things, and I watch over you.  I know the thoughts that I have of you; the thoughts of good and not of evil.  So, when you find it necessary to make changes that will effect your life and to take on new responsibilities or to go in a new direction then worship,  for I, the Lord God,  will lead and guide you.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 15, 2010:

Watch and be alert to distractions that will take you away from the purity of your relationship with Me, says the Lord. If you can concentrate on walking in the Spirit, you and those with you will experience spiritual breakthrough. And, you will never be the same again. Remember that I am building through you on a foundation that has been swept clean and the religious debris burned. It is of vital importance that you do not build according to flesh and temporal things, but build according to the leading of My Spirit that which is eternal.

Psalms 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
