Simply Be What I Have Created You To Be And Surrender Completely To My Purposes In And Through You

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

I speak to multitudes when I tell you that your quest for attention and recognition is simply selfish ambition as you seek to express yourself in unique ways. But, My purpose for you is that you become a vessel through whom the expression of My Spirit can flow, unhindered by your flesh. You do not have to clamor and strive for position or compare yourself with others. Simply be what I have created you to be and surrender completely to My purposes in and through you. Even if you happen to acquire the attention you think you need, it is still empty and vain. Establish yourself in secret communion with Me, says the Lord.

John 7:4a “For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly.”

Be Moved By My Spirit, And Your Decisions Will Be Sound, Says The Lord

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns–12/28/11:

This is a time to re-evaluate. There are things that are best left behind and other things that should be restored. There are still other things that need more care and attention then you have previously given. Your circumstances will dictate what you need to take a look at and what requires your interest. This process might take some time, so don’t be hasty in your judgments or choices. Be moved by My Spirit, and your decisions will be sound, says the Lord.

Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

Seek To Glorify Me

It’s All About Jesus!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/20/11:

Hush. Be still and stop fretting. Worry will get you nowhere. If you will be quiet and rise up in the Spirit, I will give you peace and bring healing and restoration to your troubled soul. When you are in turmoil it is because you have lost focus, paying more attention to situations that concern you rather than trusting Me, says the Lord. For those who have asked to see My glory, you will not see My glory until you continually give Me honor in all things. My glory will be revealed to those who seek to glorify Me.

Psalms 131:2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.

One may have awakened this morning.  The Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin may not have been in one’s e-mail inbox.  One may believe that the time that one may receive the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin may have changed.  One may have thought to change one’s prayer time.  One may have decided against it.

Come To Me With Boldness, Faith And The Knowledge That I Am For You And Am With You

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — August 30, 2010:

I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying, take up the measuring rod.  Apply the plumb line and the standard of truth to your own lives.  Before you evaluate the things that are coming upon the earth apply My measuring rod to your own lives.  Surely I shall show you that which is out of order, that which is not plumb, that which needs to have correction brought to it, for you are living in these times when judgment must begin at the house of the Lord before it comes upon the whole of the earth.  So knowing that, the Lord says, rise and measure.  Measure your life, your thoughts, your motives.  Examine yourself to see that you are in faith and that you have established the Lord of Glory as your first priority.  Examine yourself to see if you are living the example of Christ in the earth.  Examine yourself today to see if you are believing Me with a whole heart and to see if your faith is little or big.  Do all of this examination with absolute confidence that I will bring you to the point of perfection, for I shall indeed finish the work I have begun in you.  Rise up and do not stay where you are, but come to Me with boldness, faith and the knowledge that I am for you and am with you, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 30, 2010:

Even in your times of busyness be assured that you can do all that requires your attention in a position of absolute trust and rest in Me, says the Lord. Refuse to allow the enemy to pressure you to the point of carelessness or of losing your peace.

Psalms 116:7 Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

Count Your Blessings And Be Thankful

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — May 27, 2010:

The enemy has set out to tempt you to be distracted from My purposes and perspective. Distraction can easily become obsession by focusing on one aspect of your life. You have been called to be good stewards of what you’ve been given and what you’ve been given to do, and those areas of your life all need the attention they deserve. Refuse to allow obsession to overwhelm you and pervert your perspective. Remember to count your blessings and be thankful, says the Lord.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

What You Build On The Foundation Must Be Spirit

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — March 17, 2010:

Yield to the working of My Spirit as you deal with things that require your attention and action. Only then, can I lead you in righteousness. If you take matters into your own hands without My direction, you will not like the outcome. Remember that what you build on the foundation must be spirit and not flesh; otherwise it will not endure. Always build and establish the Kingdom in all that you are and all that you do, says the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:11-13 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.

One may have awakened a little after midnight.  One may have fallen back asleep around 2:00 AM.  At 3:20 AM, the alarm may have sounded and one may have been so tired that one may have pushed the snooze option.  The alarm may have gone off again and one may have turned it off and headed for one’s PC.

One may have logged on and checked one’s e-mail for the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may have read the prophecy for today.  Again, one may have been blessed by the message.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have entered one’s prayer closet and began to praise the Lord at 3:30 AM.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Isaiah 14.  Thank you Jesus.

One may have prayed for the outstanding prayer requests.  Thank you Lord Jesus for hearing and answering each request according to your perfect will, amen.

One may have seen this prophecy in action today.  One may have thought to do something yesterday.  One may have had one’s reasons (mainly anger and selfishness) for trying a different avenue to a solution.  One may have found that the new avenue may not have been what the Lord had in store.  It may not have been the answer.  The answer may have been, “No!”

One may have had to resort back to the original plan.  One may have felt led through out the day.  One may have thought to do a particular thing today.  It may not have been required of one until tomorrow.  One may have discovered that tomorrow would have been too late due to a change in the normal flow of things.  Thank you Jesus for leading and guiding one.

Stay Close To Me And Do Nothing Apart From My Leading

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — March 10, 2010:

Beware of those who desire or require your attention. Exercise discernment to know whether or not I am sending them to you. If I’m not sending them, it will be a subtle distraction that will drain you to the dregs. Guard your parameters carefully, and let no one violate your spiritual boundaries. Stay close to Me and do nothing apart from My leading, says the Lord. Your spiritual vitality depends on your obedience.

Acts 17:26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, “For we are also His offspring.”

One may have awakened this morning.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may have been encouraged and glad for the help.  One may be on the lookout.  Thank you Jesus!

One may wonder about an event that may take place in the near future.  One may have hesitated before confirming.  One’s initial response was to decline.  Upon hearing the purpose, one may have changed one’s mind and confirmed one’s attendance.

Lord Jesus, please have your way at this event.  Please lead one in all things while there, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, amen.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord, prayed for the sick and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 1.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank you Jesus for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, amen.

Today may have been one’s last day at physical therapy.  One had not expected it to end today.  One may not have known how to feel concerning one’s therapy ending suddenly.  One’s ankle may be getting better but may not be 100 percent.  One may believe that this may be the Lord’s doing.  If not, Lord please have your way in this situation, in Jesus’ name one may pray, amen.

Come To Me, Knowing That You Have My Undivided Attention In The Midst Of Your Trials And Your Triumphs

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — January 1, 2010:

The work that I am doing in you, My people, is multiple and varied. What I do among you will encompass numerous aspects composed of distinct elements and qualities — diversified to the point that each individual in My kingdom will be treated uniquely. I do not see you only as part of a great and global assembly; I see you separately. I know your needs and your desires, and your relationship with Me is very personal indeed; yet you are part of an indivisible whole, the Body of Christ. Beloved, you are not hidden in the crowd, nor can you hide. Come to Me, knowing that you have My undivided attention in the midst of your trials and your triumphs. Go forth in the assurance that I am with and for you, says the Lord.

Romans 8:31-39 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

One’s alarm may have blared at 3:00 AM.  One turned it off and fell back asleep.  When one had finally awakened, it may have been after 3:30 AM.  One may have apologized to the Lord for oversleeping.

One may have logged onto one’s computer and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin a few times until one understood it.  One may have proceeded to one’s prayer closet and prepared oneself for this special time with the Lord.

One may have started one’s praise session with song at 3:52 AM.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for the sick.  While praying for the sick, one may have looked at the time.  It may have been exactly 4:52 AM.  It may have been time for one to leave one’s prayer closet.  Instead of leaving, one may have asked the Lord for more time and to forgive one for staying longer.  One may have wanted to finish praying for the sick.

After one finished praying for the sick, one may have stood and lifted one’s Bible towards heaven and prayed with all one’s heart for the Lord to give one and those who may read this blog, “scripture” that may be quite meaningful and profound.

One may have opened the Bible to Jeremiah 40.  One began to read and read Jeremiah 40 – 45.  One just could not put one’s Bible down.  Although one may have read this passage in the past; it was still very fresh and intriguing.

One may have left one’s prayer closet after one read the chapters from the Book of Jeremiah and logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  One may have been praying for individuals and right in the middle of praying one became engrossed in thought about Jeremiah 40 – 45.

One thought about Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, how he did evil and escaped those who sought his life.  One may have said to the Lord, “Lord when we read these passages, we read them as if these people are still alive on this earth.  But we have to remember that judgment has come to them and they got what they deserved.  Then one felt ashamed for wanting vengeance on the evil.  One may have said, “Lord, I don’t desire that anybody go to hell, why should I gloat?”  Then one may have said, “Gloat, is that even a word, what am I talking about Lord?”  One may have thought to be beside oneself.

One decided to type the word gloat into one’s dictionary.  One may have spelled it “glote” and it came back, “’glote’ could not be found.” One may have tried a different spelling: G-L-O-A-T. One’s dictionary may have retrieved: “gloat – contemplate or dwell on one’s own success or another’s misfortune with smugness or malignant pleasure: his enemies gloated over his death.” One may have been blown away.  One may have wondered, “How did one even know this word and used it correctly while talking to the Lord?  Wow!

One may have tried to focus on the prayers again.  This was too weird.  One may have felt cold and tried to ignore it until one finished praying.  One may have decided to get up and get one’s snuggle blanket with sleeves.  One may have wrapped oneself in it.

Earlier this morning, before one had entered one’s prayer closet, one may have attempted to turn on the space heater.  It may have come on but the heat did not blow out.  One tried it a few times and thought one smelled something burning inside so one may have turned it off.  One may have thought to let one’s daughter know it was broken.

So now one may have been standing with the snuggle on while looking for the space heater.  One did not see it and thought that one’s daughter may have taken it to their room while one was in one’s prayer closet.  One may have thought to warn one’s daughter that it was broken.  One may have noticed the cord lying on the floor and the space heater behind the computer chair.

One picked up the space heater and prayed to the Lord to heal it with his healing power.  Then one said, “No Lord, please fix it with your power!”  One turned it on and it worked perfectly.  It may still be on as one may be writing this blog.  Thank you Jesus!  One may have finished praying for the outstanding prayer requests.

Thank you Lord for answering one’s prayers and the prayer request for each individual from the website, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, amen.
