You Have Come This Far, Do Not Turn Back

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — May 6, 2010:

I kept hearing in my spirit the phrase “point of no return”. The point of no return is defined as the point beyond which you must continue on your current course of action, either because turning back is physically impossible or because to do so would be prohibitively expensive or dangerous. It is also used when the distance or effort required to get back would be greater than the remainder of the journey or task undertaken. And, I heard the Lord say: Even though fear of the unknown outcome of your present course would tempt you to go back to what seems safe or familiar, you must press on. To not press on would mean spiritual stagnation. The challenges you face in the days ahead will give opportunity for greater wisdom, strength and stability than you could ever have imagined. You have come this far; do not turn back.

Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

One may have overslept.  One may have read the Spririt of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may not have entered one’s prayer closet.  One may have been detained and proceeded to praise the Lord.

One may have confessed one’s sins but never completed one’s confessions.  One may have slipped into a day of rebellion, old habits and ways.  It may have started at the beginning of this week and progressed more and more each day.

There may not be a scripture for today; one may not have prayed for one.  One may not have prayed for the outstanding prayer requests.

Please Lord forgive one’s many sins, in Jesus’ name one may pray, amen.

Come For A Time Of Restoration And Healing Of Body, Soul And Spirit

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — April 13, 2010:

When you find yourself pushing hard, you must also take the time necessary to rest. Your refreshing comes from quieting your soul and seeking to be in My presence, says the Lord. Unburden yourself and come for a time of restoration and healing of body, soul and spirit. I will breathe new life into you when you take the time and make the effort to come.

Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

One may have awakened this morning to the sound of the alarm.  One may have dozed off for a few minutes.  One may have awakened and assumed that one may have been late for one’s special time with Jesus.  One may have checked the time, it may have been 3:28 AM.  One may not have been late but knew that one may not have been able to get prepared and enter one’s prayer closet on time.

One may have logged onto one’s computer and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank You Jesus!  One may have gathered items needed for one’s prayer closet time.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 3:33 AM.  One may have been late.  Please forgive one Lord Jesus.  One may have praised the Lord with songs of praise, confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 41.  Thank You Lord Jesus.

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Lord Jesus, please answer each prayer request according to your perfect will, amen.

Be Sensitive To The Leading Of My Spirit

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — January 21, 2010:

Be sensitive to the leading of My Spirit, for you are entering a time when you can truly put an end to procrastination and tie up loose ends. I am surrounding My people with an extraordinary measure of favor and grace to do all that is necessary. As soon as you choose to be done with the things that have overwhelmed you, the burden of heaviness will lift and you will be free to move forward. I will enhance and accelerate your every effort, says the Lord, but you must take the first step.

Hebrews 12:12-13 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

One may have awakened early this morning and did some writing.  One may have fallen back asleep.  When it may have been one’s appointed time to get up, one may have felt really tired.  One may have considered sleeping another hour at least.  One knew in one’s heart that the thought was not possible and that one must keep one’s appointed time with Jesus at 3:30 AM.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.   It may have been the answer to one’s prayer from earlier in the morning.  One may have asked the Lord for help.  One may have actually written the prayer down in one’s writings.  Again, Jesus provided help and encouragement for one through the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  Thank you Jesus.  Now one may know what one must do.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time.  One may have sung praises to the Lord, confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 3.

Thank you Lord for helping one to remember the passage for today. As one may have been writing just now one had absolutely nothing; one may have totally forgotten today’s passage of scripture and had no clue whatsoever.  One may have prayed to the Lord asking for help; Ezekiel 4 may have come to one’s mind.

One may have checked the post from yesterday to make sure that one was not thinking of yesterday’s scripture.  The passage of scripture from yesterday may have been Amos 1.

One may have grabbed one’s Bible and began to read Ezekiel 4.  One thought, “This is not it.”  Although one may have read this chapter in the past, it may not have felt familiar or recent.

One may have flipped the page back one, revealing Ezekiel 3.  One may have begun to read this chapter.  “That’s it!” one thought and thanked the Lord for His help.

One may have left one’s prayer closet at 4:30 AM.  One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.

Lord Jesus, thank you for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, amen.
