The Responsibility For Success Or Failure Is Not Yours But Mine

It’s All About Jesus!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 2/24/11:

My children, be diligent to do what I have called you to do. But know this, the enemy will come to bring insecurity and cause you to get self-focused. He will undermine your confidence and boldness in what I have set before you. Do not look at yourselves or consider whether you have succeeded or failed. The responsibility for success or failure is not yours but Mine. Yours is not to calculate the impact of your efforts, but to only pledge allegiance to Me and allow Me to direct your every step, says the Lord.

Psalms 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 3:30 AM.  One may have praised the Lord with song, confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Luke 11.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank You Lord for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank You Jesus!

Just Be Faithful!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 25, 2010:

The enemy is trying to make you feel like your life is insignificant and that you have failed. He wants you to believe that you should be doing more or something worthy of attention or something that will make a difference. But, you cannot manufacture opportunities. Your goal should be to know Me, says the Lord, and to be available to My Spirit in fulfilling My purposes. Just be faithful!

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

One may have awakened last night to the sound of the alarm and another individual calling one’s name.  One may have thought it to be 6 AM and realized after a short time that it may have been time for one to prepare to meet with Jesus in one’s prayer closet.  One may have reset one’s alarm to awaken ten minutes later.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have thought to examine one’s life in every area, looking for where Satan may have been encouraging one to exalt oneself.  One may know that the Lord is giving help.  Thank you Jesus!
