I Say To You, Examine The Nonsense In Your Thinking

It’s All About Jesus!

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — 1/10/2010:

I say to you, examine the nonsense in your thinking.  For I say, indeed, many of you are occupied with nonsense.   But, I would have you choose to believe and receive that which I am bringing and imparting rather than leaning on your own understanding.  Reflect on and examine your thoughts, attitudes and  motives.  Then, turn your eyes upon the heavenlies and the glory that I am releasing and the revelation of My purposes.  My purposes for you are not to muddle around in the things of the world, but for you to ascend on high and live in the realm of heavenly experience.  For the kingdom itself is now demanding that you live within self-restraint.  You must now begin to live the Christian life in a new and profound way, in a glorious way; thinking upon heavenly things, and upon those things which I have spoken to you rather than being absorbed in the trauma of your own life or in judgmentalism, jealousy or the tribulation that your negative thinking brings you into.  So rise and come higher, says the Lord, and let the wind of My Spirit move you, and let the anointing of My word perfect you, says the Lord.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/10/2010:

Beloved, I want you to be a gatekeeper and a watchman over your environment. This is a position of spiritual discernment so that you allow only the things that build up and not the things that tear down. I would have you to be on high alert and aware so that you have holy precision in knowing what comes in and what goes out. I have given you absolute authority to accept or reject those things that affect your spiritual atmosphere, says the Lord.

Isaiah 21:6 For thus has the Lord said to me: “Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees.”

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Sept. 23, 2010:

Those things that you have ignored that have been out of order or needed to be fixed are up for review again. You can no longer ignore the things that need to be dealt with either spiritually or naturally; they will not go away or get right without your participation or without your faith and action. You will be presented with prime opportunities to take responsibility that will make a way for you to leave the past behind and have a new start, says the Lord. Don’t turn a blind eye.

Isaiah 45:2 I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.

I Am A God Of Mercy, And I Show Mercy To The Merciful

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — July 27, 2010:

Old places of conflict will require new resolution, but I will cause you to move through it with grace if you determine to forgive every offense old or new. This is not a time to become outraged or renew old grudges. You’ve heard it said that a soft answer turns away wrath, and that is indeed the truth. I am a God of mercy, and I show mercy to the merciful, says the Lord.

Psalm 18:24-28 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight . With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. For You will save the humble people, but will bring down haughty looks. For You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

This is the beginning of a new, fresh move of My Spirit, and the enemy will do all he can to prevent you from getting in on it. Stay alert, and continue to gain spiritual momentum. Refuse to be stopped or hindered in any way, says the Lord.

Lay Down The Old & Pick Up The New & Journey With Me Into The Glory Of My Kingdom

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns — April 19, 2010:

So today, My children, I would have you to take off the robes that have collected the defilement of this world; unbelief and victimization. This old cloak that you wear carries the defilement of those things that have come upon you and come against you. But, I say, take that robe off even as the beggar and the blind man of old did, lay it down, and receive new clothing this day. Begin again and dress yourself in righteousness, peace, joy and faith. For the journey begins, the journey that I have determined to bring you forth into the blessing and into the promise and into the fullness of your inheritance. Lay down the old and pick up the new and journey with Me into the Glory of My kingdom, says the Lord Most High.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — April 19 2010:

I have been able to see a glory cloud in the church sanctuary for three weeks in a row. The first week, I saw hundreds of lights in the cloud. The second week, I saw the lights moving. This week, I saw the lights positioning themselves into straight rows, and I thought of them coming into a particular order. I believe God is bringing us into position–into His order so that we can see the manifestation of His glory.

Isaiah 4:5 then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering.

One may have awakened this morning and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may have encouraged.  Thank You Jesus.

Develop The Habit Of Walking In The Spirit So That Your Flesh Cannot Have Free Rein

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — February 10, 2010:

Stop and discern My heart in every situation and circumstance. Make sure that everything that you say or do is in complete accord with My purposes. Develop the habit of walking in the Spirit so that your flesh cannot have free rein. You will be amazed at how easy it really is once you make the decision to not just react to life but to respond to My Spirit in every instance. This is a new day and requires a new approach, says the Lord.

Galatians 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

One’s alarm may have gone off at 3:00 AM.  One may have fallen back asleep.  One may have awakened late for one’s special time with Jesus.  One may have hurriedly read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 4:15 AM.  One may have begun by praising the Lord with song.  One may have begun to confess one’s sins only to be interrupted.  One may have had to leave one’s prayer closet and finish praying at one’s computer desk.

Individuals may have interrupted one time and time again.  One may have got through one’s confessions eventually.  One may have prayed for outstanding prayer requests on the website sometime during the late morning.  Thank you Jesus for answering the prayer request of each individual according to your will.

One may have prayed for a passage of scripture this afternoon.  One may have been led to Jeremiah 33.  Thank you Jesus.  One’s day may have been most unusual because one may have chose to let one’s flesh lead.  Had one gotten up at the appropriate time, one’s time with Jesus may have been uninterrupted and one’s prayer time may have flowed as usual.  Lord, please forgive one for one’s sins, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, amen.

Put Your Faith In Me And Rest!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Nov. 12, 2009:

You are now sensing and know in your spirit and soul that there has been a well-defined change from the past that has been in process over the past months. I already made you aware that I am doing a new thing in your life and the lives of My people, and you accepted that word by faith. But now, you can actually discern the change and see it with your eyes. Expect to have a short break or lull, but be aware that if you don’t understand what this is or why it is happening, you may feel disoriented. This is a time to draw close to Me, says the Lord, put your faith in Me and rest.

Romans 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God.

One may not remember all one’s actions before one entered one’s prayer closet.  One may be sure that one read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin before 3:30 AM.  One may have begun cleaning the bathroom as soon as one entered it. One may remember starting on time with praise to the Lord by song.

One may have confessed one’s sins to the Lord.  One had got to the part where one may ask the Lord to forgive one for one’s judgment and judgmental thoughts of others.  One may have begun to ponder on this.  One wondered, “When is it okay to judge a man?  One thought, “All judgment belongs unto the Lord whose judgment is true.”  One may have asked the Lord, “What would be an example of righteous judgment judged by man?”

The Lord brought this biblical account to one’s mind:

    1 Corinthians 5
    1. It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.
    2. And ye are puffed up , and have not rather mourned , that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
    3. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present , concerning him that hath so done this deed,
    4. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together , and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
    5. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
    6. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
    7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
    8. Therefore let us keep the feast , not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
    9. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
    10. Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
    11. But now I have written unto you not to keep company , if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat .
    12. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
    13. But them that are without God judgeth . Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The Lord did not give one the words verbatim, but just the account of the story in a moment’s time.  One knew this biblical story and remembered it well.  One may have said, “Thank you Jesus!”

Note: Just as one may be writing this testimony at this very moment, one may have decided to asked the Lord where to find this passage instead of searching for it.  One may have said, “Lord is it 1 Corinthians or 2 Corinthians?” 1 Corinthians chapter 5, came to one’s mind.  One may have said, “Lord if it’s 1 Corinthians, chapter 5 then I am going to scream.  If it is not, then it must be chapter 6 but I think it is chapter 5.  I’m not going to use my bible to look it up; I’m going to use Crosswalk.com.”  One may have put “1 Corinthians 5” in the bible search on Crosswalk so that the entire chapter could be retrieved.  When the query finished, there laid before one the exact chapter.  One screamed with excitement and shared what just happened with one’s daughter.  You’ve just read the text extracted from this query, above.  Thank you Lord Jesus for being so awesome!

One thanked the Lord after one had finished confessing.  One may have prayed for the sick and spoke in tongues very briefly.  One may have asked the Lord earlier during one’s prayer time, if it was okay for one to leave one’s prayer closet and get one’s Bible.  One stopped speaking in tongues and thought to seek the Lord through scripture in the Bible one had retrieved.

Evangelist Ericka D Jackson had suggested beginning prayer time with scripture first.  One may have kept one’s routine and thought that one might incorporate scripture reading at some point, preferably at the end of one’s prayer time.

One may have asked the Lord a question?  One opened the bible randomly and whatever one’s eyes fell on, one began to read which may have been Job 3:12.  One read to the end of this chapter and then started from the beginning with verse one.  The scripture did not really seem to speak to one.  One may have asked the Lord, “Lord what am I suppose to get from this?”

One may have remembered how one had been raised a Christian.  One did not have a personal relationship with Jesus.  One used to wonder, “Why was I ever born?” especially during difficult times in one’s life where one may have been unable to change circumstances no matter how detrimental and painful they may have been.  Life had thrown some difficult punches and one was unable to duck the blows.

One tried again by opening the Bible randomly.  This time one may have read something about Simeon, inheritance and Judah.  One may have just read the one verse of scripture.  One may have closed the bible and said, “Lord this is not working.”

One may have decided not to give up.  The Lord has spoken to one profoundly in the past by using this method.  One opened the Bible randomly and one’s eyes fell on Psalms 119.  One thought, “This may be the longest Psalm of them all.” One flipped the pages to confirm one’s thoughts. One went back to the beginning of the Psalm 119.

One read the first Hebrew alphabetized section of this Psalm:

    Psalm 119:1-8
    1. ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
    2. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
    3. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
    4. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
    5. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
    6. Then shall I not be ashamed , when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
    7. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
    8. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

As one began to read this passage, one felt that it was speaking to one’s Spirit.  When one got to verse 7 and read “righteous judgments,” one’s eyes filled with tears.  One knew the Lord was speaking and He wanted one to read this passage.  One had not known previously that the phrase “righteous judgment” was in the bible, one just thought to call it that while asking the Lord about judging others.

One may have gone onto read the next section of the Hebrew Alphabet.  Then one closed the bible and desired for the Lord to do this thing again.  This time one opened to Ephesians 1.  One took this as a sign to read Ephesians 1 and 2 as instructed by Evangelist Ericka D. Jackson during her teachings.  One had forgotten about this request and was glad that the Lord was reminding one to read it.  One may have completed reading all of chapter one in one’s prayer closet.

It may have been time for one to leave one’s prayer closet so one departed and logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.

One may have been very pleased about the outcome of one’s praise session.  One felt that it was not one sided, for the Lord had shown up indeed.  He may be present always, yet He showed one mercy by interacting with one.  Thank you Jesus for your mercy, kindness and grace, in Jesus’ name.
