Draw Near!

It’s All About Jesus!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 1/11/11:

It’s time for a change in many areas and on various levels. Some things have just outlived their usefulness or are outdated and do not serve your needs as efficiently as they once did. Things in the natural or outward things are only signs of an inward or spiritual change that is taking place as you draw closer to Me, says the Lord. The closer you get the greater your discernment and power in prayer and warfare. Draw near!

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

One may have awakened to the sound of one’s alarm at 3:10 AM.  One may have decided to get more rest.  The alarm may have gone off five minutes later.  One may have selected the snooze option on one’s phone.  After an additional five minutes may have passed, both the 3:00 AM and 3:20 AM alarm may have gone off simultaneously.  One may have gotten up.

One may have logged onto one’s computer and may have checked for the Spirit Of Prophecy Bulletin.  It may not have been there.  One may have checked Bill and Marsha Burns’ website as well.  The website may not have been updated.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 3:31 AM.  One may have been late.  One may have been looking at the time on one’s computer while thinking that the time may have been a few minutes ahead of the actual time.  One may have forgotten that one may have reset the time on one’s computer recently to reflect the true time.

One may have praised the Lord with song, confessed one’s sins, including being late for one’s prayer time and for being angry about being late.  The Lord may have revealed through an Christian author that when we are on time for appointments we may receive blessings from the Lord.  The angels may wait until the last minute of the appointed time.  When one may be  late, those blessings may be withheld and can never be attained for that particular day.  This is why one may be discouraged when on may be late for one’s special time with Jesus.

While in one’s prayer closet one may have thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 16.  Thank You Jesus!

The Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin may have been in one’s e-mail inbox when one may have finished one’s prayer time with the Lord.  One may have read the message from the Lord for today.  One may have wondered if the first thing that may have come to one’s mind may have been the Lord’s answer for one concerning today’s message.  One may have prayed and asked the Lord to help one with this.  Thank You Jesus for Your help and encouragement.

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank You Lord for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Obedience Is The Key

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 27, 2010:

Watch and be on the alert for people who will try to take advantage of you. They will be motivated by selfishness and a sense of desperation without regard for your rights, space or boundaries. You must stand your ground and not be afraid to say NO; not just from a position of self-preservation, but because your real need is to stay in the flow of My Spirit and to respond only to My leading, says the Lord. Obedience is the key. Be strong and resolute.

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

One may have awakened this morning to the sound of the 3:00 AM alarm.  One may have logged onto one’s computer.  The Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin may have come at 3:04 AM.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin and may have been encouraged.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet a little before 3:30 AM (one’s start-time).  One may have been so engrossed in thought about a situation that one may have begun one’s praise late.  One may have apologized to Jesus and may have begun to be engrossed in outside thoughts again.

One may have come to one’s self after a while and may have apologized to the Lord for a second time.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to John 18.  Thank You Jesus!
