Watch For Opportunities To Forgive And Move On When Temptation Arises For Offense

It’s All About Jesus!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 3/17/11:

Watch for opportunities to forgive and move on when the temptation arises for offense. You may feel discounted or rejected, but you must not take it as a personal assault. This is the work of the enemy to get you to open the door to sin. These are times when you must return good for evil and stand on righteous ground, says the Lord.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

One may have felt better this morning.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have begun one’s praise to the Lord at 3:32 AM.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Proverbs 24.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank You Lord for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank You Jesus!

Beloved, Be Slow To Anger And Quick To Forgive

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — May 13, 2010:

Beloved, be slow to anger and quick to forgive. I tell you the truth that the enemy has released forces of darkness against you to tempt you to be offended. But, you must stand in a place of forgiveness and not open the door through carnal responses to what other’s have done. Remember that you will reap what you sow; if you are offended with others, you will become offensive. Release all resentment and extend mercy, says the Lord.

James 1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

One may have overslept this morning.  One may have gone to bed after 12:00 AM this morning.  One may have been exhausted.  One may have apologized to the Lord before going to sleep.  One may have known in one’s heart that one would not awaken for one’s special time with Jesus.

To one’s dismay it may have been a little before 6:00 AM before one would be awakened by one’s daughter.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  One may have been encouraged.  One may have thought to just pray and confess tomorrow morning.

Later this morning, one may have attempted to praise the Lord, confess one’s sins and pray for the outstanding prayer requests online.  One may have done so with interruptions.

One may have just prayed for a passage of scripture.  One may have been led to Ecclesiastes 9.  Thank You Jesus!

Lord Jesus, thank you for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, amen.
