SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — 4/15/11:

Draw close to Me, says the Lord. You do live in perilous times where the enemy is on the prowl seeking to find opportunities to attack and afflict you. However, if you will maintain a personal, vital, and intimate relationship with Me and do not sin, the enemy cannot touch you. You must live and walk in My Spirit. Be free!

1 John 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 3:30 AM.  One may have praised the Lord with song, confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to John 7 – Brothers don’t believe in Jesus.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank You Lord for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank You Jesus!

Come To Me, Knowing That You Have My Undivided Attention In The Midst Of Your Trials And Your Triumphs

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — January 1, 2010:

The work that I am doing in you, My people, is multiple and varied. What I do among you will encompass numerous aspects composed of distinct elements and qualities — diversified to the point that each individual in My kingdom will be treated uniquely. I do not see you only as part of a great and global assembly; I see you separately. I know your needs and your desires, and your relationship with Me is very personal indeed; yet you are part of an indivisible whole, the Body of Christ. Beloved, you are not hidden in the crowd, nor can you hide. Come to Me, knowing that you have My undivided attention in the midst of your trials and your triumphs. Go forth in the assurance that I am with and for you, says the Lord.

Romans 8:31-39 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

One’s alarm may have blared at 3:00 AM.  One turned it off and fell back asleep.  When one had finally awakened, it may have been after 3:30 AM.  One may have apologized to the Lord for oversleeping.

One may have logged onto one’s computer and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin a few times until one understood it.  One may have proceeded to one’s prayer closet and prepared oneself for this special time with the Lord.

One may have started one’s praise session with song at 3:52 AM.  One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for the sick.  While praying for the sick, one may have looked at the time.  It may have been exactly 4:52 AM.  It may have been time for one to leave one’s prayer closet.  Instead of leaving, one may have asked the Lord for more time and to forgive one for staying longer.  One may have wanted to finish praying for the sick.

After one finished praying for the sick, one may have stood and lifted one’s Bible towards heaven and prayed with all one’s heart for the Lord to give one and those who may read this blog, “scripture” that may be quite meaningful and profound.

One may have opened the Bible to Jeremiah 40.  One began to read and read Jeremiah 40 – 45.  One just could not put one’s Bible down.  Although one may have read this passage in the past; it was still very fresh and intriguing.

One may have left one’s prayer closet after one read the chapters from the Book of Jeremiah and logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  One may have been praying for individuals and right in the middle of praying one became engrossed in thought about Jeremiah 40 – 45.

One thought about Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, how he did evil and escaped those who sought his life.  One may have said to the Lord, “Lord when we read these passages, we read them as if these people are still alive on this earth.  But we have to remember that judgment has come to them and they got what they deserved.  Then one felt ashamed for wanting vengeance on the evil.  One may have said, “Lord, I don’t desire that anybody go to hell, why should I gloat?”  Then one may have said, “Gloat, is that even a word, what am I talking about Lord?”  One may have thought to be beside oneself.

One decided to type the word gloat into one’s dictionary.  One may have spelled it “glote” and it came back, “’glote’ could not be found.” One may have tried a different spelling: G-L-O-A-T. One’s dictionary may have retrieved: “gloat – contemplate or dwell on one’s own success or another’s misfortune with smugness or malignant pleasure: his enemies gloated over his death.” One may have been blown away.  One may have wondered, “How did one even know this word and used it correctly while talking to the Lord?  Wow!

One may have tried to focus on the prayers again.  This was too weird.  One may have felt cold and tried to ignore it until one finished praying.  One may have decided to get up and get one’s snuggle blanket with sleeves.  One may have wrapped oneself in it.

Earlier this morning, before one had entered one’s prayer closet, one may have attempted to turn on the space heater.  It may have come on but the heat did not blow out.  One tried it a few times and thought one smelled something burning inside so one may have turned it off.  One may have thought to let one’s daughter know it was broken.

So now one may have been standing with the snuggle on while looking for the space heater.  One did not see it and thought that one’s daughter may have taken it to their room while one was in one’s prayer closet.  One may have thought to warn one’s daughter that it was broken.  One may have noticed the cord lying on the floor and the space heater behind the computer chair.

One picked up the space heater and prayed to the Lord to heal it with his healing power.  Then one said, “No Lord, please fix it with your power!”  One turned it on and it worked perfectly.  It may still be on as one may be writing this blog.  Thank you Jesus!  One may have finished praying for the outstanding prayer requests.

Thank you Lord for answering one’s prayers and the prayer request for each individual from the website, in Jesus’ name, one may pray, amen.

Expect It To Get Very Personal

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Dec. 11, 2009:

It’s been an uphill climb, but things will begin to level out. This leveling out will be a process, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t see the results immediately. Calmly stay in faith and be patient. Your quiet trust is important at this juncture. I am still fixing things that need to be fixed, says the Lord, and the further you go in getting things fixed, the more intimate the accomplishment of this task becomes. Expect it to get very personal.

Psalms 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works.

One may have awakened to the sound of the alarm at 3:00 AM.  One reset it for 3:20 AM.  The alarm may have gone off a second time.  One may have logged onto the computer and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.

One may have been pleased with today’s message.  One may believe one may have gone through another storm recently.  Things in one’s home may have gone very smoothly yesterday overall. Things may be peaceful currently.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have entered one’s prayer closet to begin cleaning.  One may have started one’s praise session.  One sang songs, confessed one’s sins, prayed for the sick, read a passage of scripture and spoke in tongues.

One may not have had a whole lot on one’s plate to confess which is good.  One may have been lead to Job 34 for the passage of scripture. A little after 4:30 AM, one may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.
