Boldly Go Forth To Overcome Your Fear Of Failure Or Rejection

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — June 9, 2010:

Press through the dread and reluctance to face the things that have caused you to be apprehensive. Boldly go forth to overcome your fear of failure or rejection. Avoidance will not fix it or make it go away, so take the next step in moving towards the freedom you desire. Use this time to advance and not retreat. Procrastination is your enemy, says the Lord.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

One may have awakened this morning.  One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin and may have been encouraged.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have begun praising outside of one’s prayer closet.  One may have entered one’s prayer closet soon after one may have begun one’s praise session. One may have confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord, prayed a brief prayer for the sick and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Daniel 11.  Thank You Jesus!

One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Thank You Lord for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Be Diligent To Seek My Face And Acquire Wisdom And Guidance

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — April 9, 2010:

Don’t allow current situations and demands to cause you to get sidetracked from your main purpose and destiny. Procrastination and neglect will lead you away from vitality in the Spirit. Be diligent to seek My face and acquire wisdom and guidance, says the Lord. Position yourself with right motives and attitudes so that you can acquire the best I have for you.

Luke 10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

One’s alarm may have gone off at 3:00 AM and one may have reset it for 3:20 AM.  One may have heard the alarm go off again.  One may have looked at the time and it may have been 3:34 AM.  One may have been late for one’s prayer closet time with Jesus.

One may have quickly read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.  One may have been encouraged.  Thank you Jesus!

One may have entered one’s prayer closet at 3:41 AM.  One may have sung praises to the Lord, confessed one’s sins (including being late for one’s special time with Jesus), thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today’s blog.  One may have been led to Jeremiah 40.  Thank you Jesus.

One may have read some of this chapter while in one’s prayer closet.  One’s dog may have whined to go outside.  It may have been time for one to leave.  One may have taken the dog out for a brief walk.

Upon one’s return, one may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.  Lord Jesus, thank you for answering each prayer request according to Your perfect will, amen.

Be Sensitive To The Leading Of My Spirit

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — January 21, 2010:

Be sensitive to the leading of My Spirit, for you are entering a time when you can truly put an end to procrastination and tie up loose ends. I am surrounding My people with an extraordinary measure of favor and grace to do all that is necessary. As soon as you choose to be done with the things that have overwhelmed you, the burden of heaviness will lift and you will be free to move forward. I will enhance and accelerate your every effort, says the Lord, but you must take the first step.

Hebrews 12:12-13 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

One may have awakened early this morning and did some writing.  One may have fallen back asleep.  When it may have been one’s appointed time to get up, one may have felt really tired.  One may have considered sleeping another hour at least.  One knew in one’s heart that the thought was not possible and that one must keep one’s appointed time with Jesus at 3:30 AM.

One may have read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin for today.   It may have been the answer to one’s prayer from earlier in the morning.  One may have asked the Lord for help.  One may have actually written the prayer down in one’s writings.  Again, Jesus provided help and encouragement for one through the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.  Thank you Jesus.  Now one may know what one must do.

One may have entered one’s prayer closet on time.  One may have sung praises to the Lord, confessed one’s sins, thanked the Lord and prayed for a passage of scripture for today.  One may have been led to Ezekiel 3.

Thank you Lord for helping one to remember the passage for today. As one may have been writing just now one had absolutely nothing; one may have totally forgotten today’s passage of scripture and had no clue whatsoever.  One may have prayed to the Lord asking for help; Ezekiel 4 may have come to one’s mind.

One may have checked the post from yesterday to make sure that one was not thinking of yesterday’s scripture.  The passage of scripture from yesterday may have been Amos 1.

One may have grabbed one’s Bible and began to read Ezekiel 4.  One thought, “This is not it.”  Although one may have read this chapter in the past, it may not have felt familiar or recent.

One may have flipped the page back one, revealing Ezekiel 3.  One may have begun to read this chapter.  “That’s it!” one thought and thanked the Lord for His help.

One may have left one’s prayer closet at 4:30 AM.  One may have logged onto the website to pray for outstanding prayer requests.

Lord Jesus, thank you for answering each prayer request according to your perfect will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Maintaining Peace!

It’s All About Jesus!

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — October 30, 2009:

The stress caused by the issues of life have the potential to create stress in your physical body. Now is the time to deal with the issues and to tie up loose ends that keep you from maintaining peace emotionally, mentally and physically. Do not delay in taking care of these matters; procrastination is your enemy. Be diligent to methodically and consistently keep moving towards freedom and tranquility, says the Lord.

Job 27:21 Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.

One may have awakened around midnight again.  One may have spent time writing down the events in one’s life.  One may have dozed back off to sleep.

The alarm went off at 3:00 AM.  One reset if for 3:20 AM.  At the sound of the alarm one laid there for just a few minutes more.  Finally, one may have gotten up and logged onto one’s computer.  The screen may have been locked.  One’s mouse was not responding to the clicks, yet the pointer would move around on the screen.

One could not believe this was happening. One prayed a quick prayer for help.  One needed to read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin before one’s prayer time.

One may have rebooted the computer.  At first the mouse was quirky, still not responding to the clicks.  The mouse finally responded, one logged in and read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin.

It may have been 3:30 AM when one entered the bathroom.  One started cleaning and praising at the same time.  One thanked the Lord and confessed one’s sins.

Confessing one’s sins took all of one’s time to the point that one had to finish up quickly, before 4:30 AM.

At 4:30 AM, one logged onto the site where one may pray for prayer requests.  Everything went smoothly.  Thank you Jesus!

One’s stomach may be upset and hurt from time to time.  One may believe one picked up whatever one’s grandson had.  One may not have a fever or any other symptoms.  Thank you Jesus.

One made a decision about the apostle who one felt compelled to pray for.  The desire to contact the individual became very strong, yesterday.  Just as one was about to contact the individual, one pulled back.  One began to read the Spirit of Prophecy Bulletins, starting from the most recent first, looking for help from the Lord.

The message from 10/28/09 spoke to one:

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — October 28, 2009:

Be aware and watch for the enemy’s devices that will saddle you with imposition as he pressures you to act out of a sense of obligation instead of being moved by My Spirit. Just as you, My people, are learning to move in the unbridled liberty of the Spirit, the devil will do his utmost to keep you bound by religious exercise. Recognize it and refuse to be brought into bondage in any way, says the Lord. Obligation has its roots in a spirit of fear. The fear of rejection results in being a people-pleaser.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

One may have felt obligated to share what one had experienced with the apostle.  Thoughts came to one’s mind about the possible consequences if one did not say anything.  One felt fear.  One’s mind may have been under attack.  Satan is a liar and the accusations just would not stop.  These may be the very things the Lord warned about.  One let go of this issue completely and gave it to Jesus.
